Tuberculosis: delayed hypersensitivity skin test
Credits

Description
Tuberculosis skin test. Certain infections such as tuberculosis and candidiasis or immunizations with bacillus Calmette-Gu é rin (BCG) or mumps vaccine result in induration of the skin after 24 to 48 hours. This indicates immunity to the organism and is a sign of intact immunity. HIV-infected patients often lack delayed hypersensitivity reactions to organisms to which they have been infected.
